EFFECT OF EXERCISE ON INSULIN RESISTANCE IN OBESE TYPE 2 DIABETES PATIENTS

ABSTRACT Introduction: Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM), also known as non-insulin-dependent (NIDDM), accounts for more than 90% of the total number cases and often occurs in middle-aged elderly people. Objective: To investigate effect exercise intervention on insulin resistance obese type patients. Methods: Eighty-six diabetic patients were screened experimental subjects physical examinations randomly divided into observation control groups. Visceral fat volume, fasting blood glucose, all measured before after completion 6-month implementation. The was calculated both groups values each indicator compared statistically between Results: Control body weight, mass index, lipids index better group group, difference significant (P < 0.05).
